Jordan Treen and Chris Simmons provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Liverpool. The longest such play in Section 3 Class AA 1 this season, the connection resulted in 79 yards.
The Warriors extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Proctor, 56-45. The victory was the fourth in a row for Liverpool.
The Raiders' dynamic duo of Treen and Simmons proved tough for Dave Mancuso's team to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Treen threw for 285 yards and two touchdowns and Simmons had 185 yards receiving. Lawrence Elliott helped Proctor's passing attack out by catching one ball for 47 yards.
Tyler Rouse was the most productive running back in the league this week. He ran for 351 yards on 30 carries as Baker fell to the Warriors. Teammate Ricky Sparks added to the ground attack by rushing for 104 yards.
Jerry Fiorini's team's Treen and Simmons have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading Section 3 Class AA 1 in both passing and receiving yards. Treen has thrown for 1156 yards this season, while Simmons, a 6-foot-3 receiver, has 20 catches for 478 yards. The Bees' Rouse leads the league in rushing yards with 1569.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Baker takes on Liverpool. As it stands, Carl Sanfillipo's team is in third, while the Warriors are in first.
The Bees took down Auburn 56-12 last week, the largest margin of any game. Rouse in the win.
