Basketball Recap: Lakeland Comes Up Short

Lakeland lost against Lake Taylor back in December of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Lakeland Cavaliers were outmatched by the Lake Taylor Titans and fell 59-27. The Cavaliers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

When it comes to explaining why Lakeland lost, don't look at Aubrianna Paiz. Despite the final result, she posted eight points. Paiz is also crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least two every time she's taken the court this season.

Lakeland suffered their first home defeat, dropping their record down to 3-2. As for Lake Taylor, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lakeland will venture away from home to challenge Manor at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Lake Taylor, they are taking a road trip to take on Booker T. Washington at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Lake Taylor is facing Booker T. Washington at the right time seeing as Booker T. Washington is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
