The Seymour Wildcats won the last time they faced the Kennedy Eagles, and things went their way on Friday too. Seymour came out on top against the Eagles by a score of 49-38.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Seymour to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jillian Keough, who scored 11 points along with six assists and two steals. Keough hasn't dropped below two steals for four straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Mia Cunningham, who dropped a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds.
Seymour's victory bumped their record up to 9-7. As for Kennedy, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-8.
Seymour will be playing at home against the Hawks at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Woodland Regional is no doubt hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses. As for Kennedy, they will head out on the road to challenge the Warriors at 6:45 p.m. on Monday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Connecticut (Canton is ranked 75th, while the Eagles are ranked 82nd).
