In what's become a running theme this season, the Calvert Senecas gave their fans yet another huge win on Friday. Everything went their way against Woodmore as Calvert made off with a 61-39 win. Given Calvert's advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 244th, while the Wildcats are ranked 743rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Calvert's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jacob Rombach, who scored nine points along with six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Caden Otterbacher, who scored eight points along with three steals and two blocks.
Calvert pushed their record up to 14-4 with that victory, which was their eighth straight on the road. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.8 points per game. As for Woodmore, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-13.
Calvert will be playing at home against the Blue Jackets at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Woodmore, they will head out on the road to take on the Lakers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Danbury is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak.
