The NFL Yet Academy Eagles will head out on the road to challenge the Mohave Accelerated Patriots at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
Last Thursday, NFL Yet Academy came up short against the Heroes and fell 66-54. While losing is never fun, NFL Yet Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arizona basketball rankings (they are ranked 279th, while the Heroes are ranked 126th).
ABEL RUIZ put forth a good effort for the losing side as he scored 31 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Another player making a difference was RAUL LARA-CASTILLO, who scored 12 points.
Meanwhile, Mohave Accelerated scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They blew past Trivium Prep, posting a 100-44 victory at home. That looming 100-44 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Mohave Accelerated yet this season.
This is the second loss in a row for NFL Yet Academy and nudges their season record down to 7-16. As for Mohave Accelerated, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 15-9 record this season.
NFL Yet Academy suffered a grim 66-44 defeat to the Patriots in their previous meeting back in December of 2023. Can NFL Yet Academy avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
