Meanwhile, New London faced Fitch in a battle between two of the state's top teams. New London suffered a rough 84-64 defeat at the hands of Fitch on Friday. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their last game last Friday (61), New London still had to take the loss.
Bacon Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 2-6. As for New London, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-3.
