Softball Recap: Chincoteague Wins Going Away Against Northampton

Chincoteague won the last time they faced Northampton and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Ponies put the hurt on the Yellowjackets with a sharp 15-1 win. That looming 15-1 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Ponies yet this season.

The team relied heavily on Ginny Sawyer, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with two runs and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Faith Stadler, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with three runs.

Chincoteague kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Northampton only managed three hits.

Chincoteague is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-7 record this season.
