It may have taken  nine innings to finish the job, but McEwen ultimately got the result they hoped for  on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with  a  15-14  win over the Perry County Vikings. The  victory was familiar territory for the Warriors, who have now won three  games in a row.
 Ben McPherson made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound,   pitching 1.1 innings while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits. McPherson was also stellar in the batter's box,  scoring two  runs and  stealing a base while going 2-for-5. He has been hot recently, having  posted  at least one  stolen base the last three times he's  played.
 In other batting news,  Landon Davis was  incredible,  scoring two  runs and  stealing  Three bases. while  getting on base  in four of his six plate appearances.  Cane Burdette also deserves some recognition as  he  scored his first  run of the season.
The  win  got McEwen back to even at 3-3. As for Perry County,  this is the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 4-3.
 Both  teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. McEwen will face off against East Hickman County at 6:45  p.m.  on Thursday. McEwen has given up an average of 8 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week. As for Perry County, they will take on Clarksburg at 5:00  p.m.  on Friday.
