After four games on the road, Bronaugh is heading back home. They will take on the Diamond Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Bronaugh focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 19 on Saturday.
Even though Montrose scored an imposing 59 points, Bronaugh still came out on top. Bronaugh took their game against Montrose 66-59.
Bronaugh's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Strauss Banes led the charge by scoring 25 points along with 9 rebounds and 5 assists. That makes it four consecutive games in which Banes has scored at least 25% of Bronaugh's points. Another player making a difference was Tucker Duncan, who scored 25 points along with 6 assists.
Meanwhile, Diamond was the victim of a rough 63-42 defeat at the hands of Lighthouse Christian on Wednesday. Diamond has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
The losses dropped Bronaugh to 3-1 and Montrose to 1-2.
Bronaugh lost to Diamond at home by a decisive 58-41 margin when the teams last played back in December of 2022. Will Bronaugh have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the action for a full breakdown of the game and more basketball content.
