Lakeshore is 10-0 against Pearl River since January of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. Lakeshore will head out on the road to take on the Pearl River Rebels at 7:30 p.m. Lakeshore will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.
Lakeshore scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Monday. They claimed a resounding 87-55 win over Livingston Collegiate Academy on the road. Lakeshore has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten games by 22 points or more this season.
Lakeshore's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Cole Janssen, who scored 18 points along with five assists and five rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Janssen has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Caiden Bickham, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 15 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Pearl River had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They blew past Mt. Hermon, posting a 70-43 victory at home. The win was just what Pearl River needed coming off of a 86-48 defeat in their prior contest.
Lakeshore has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 20-10 record this season. As for Pearl River, their win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 13-15.
Everything came up roses for Lakeshore against Pearl River in their previous meeting back in February of 2023 as the team secured a 75-48 win. Does Lakeshore have another victory up their sleeve, or will Pearl River turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
