Danbury hasn't had much luck against Ludlowe recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Hatters are taking a road trip to challenge the Falcons at 4:15 p.m. Danbury is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10.7 runs per game this season.
While Danbury didn't have the best season last year (they finished 4-16), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They walked away with a 10-7 victory over Trumbull on Thursday.

T'Aira Walters was a standout: she fired off two home runs, seven RBI, and one double while going 3-for-4. Those seven RBI gave her a new career-high. Sophie O'Connell also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.
Meanwhile, Ludlowe entered their tilt with Portsmouth on Saturday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They put the hurt on the Patriots with a sharp 13-3 win.
Angie Tavella made a splash no matter where she played. She struck out eight batters over five innings while giving up three earned runs off three hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in five consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Ella Gremse, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with three runs, two RBI, and one double. Allie Tournas was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs and two RBI.
The victory got Ludlowe back to even at 3-3. As for Danbury, their record now sits at 5-1.
Both the two teams just can't seem to miss. Danbury has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 10 hits per game. However, it's not like Ludlowe struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 3.8 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Danbury couldn't quite get it done against Ludlowe in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 as they fell 4-0. Can the Hatters avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
