Baseball Recap: Riverside's Winning Streak Snapped at Four Games

Riverside dropped their record down to 10-5 on Friday, which also ended the team's four-game streak of wins. They fell just short of the Dunmore Bucks by a score of 4-2. The Vikings were red-hot at the plate heading into the match (they scored no less than ten runs in the four contests prior), but the Bucks' pitchers proved too tough.

Chris Graff made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one home run, two RBI, and one double.

As for Dunmore, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-3 record this season. The win made it back-to-back victories for they.

On Dunmore's side, their win was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Max Forgione, who went 1-for-3 with one run.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Riverside is set to face off against their familiar foe Lakeland at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Dunmore will take on rival Old Forge at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Bucks 2, the Blue Devils 2.9) so any runs scored will be well earned.
