On Friday Universal Academy take on Summit Academy at 7:00 PM. Neither Universal Academy nor Summit Academy could muster much offensive firepower in their last games, so look to the defense to decide this one.
Universal Academy had to hit the road for their first game, and unfortunately the road hit them back. They ended up forfeiting their matchup against Mt. Clemens 0-2 last week.
Summit Academy also just played their first game, also were on the road, and also didn't get the result they wanted. They suffered a grim 0-21 defeat to Lutheran North. The state rankings had actually given Summit Academy a slight edge heading into the game, making this hurt that much more.
With both teams hitting sour notes in their previous games, they will no doubt be looking to produce a better outcome in this one. We'll see if Universal Academy is able to find more success (and make for a more exciting game than their last) when the teams meet up.
