The Bay Path RVT Minutemen had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 31 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They walked away with a 42-34 win over Oxford. This was one game where the offenses had no trouble playing at a high level.
Kaiden Brochu continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 402 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 23.6 yards per carry. Brochu has been hot recently, having posted 100 or more rushing yards the last 11 times he's played. Bradyn Downes also helped out as he racked up 163 rushing yards.
Oxford's loss came despite strong showings from Kellen Clarkson and Connor Fantasia. Clarkson threw for 266 yards and three touchdowns, while Fantasia picked up 135 receiving yards and three touchdowns.
Bay Path RVT has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season. As for Oxford, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 5-6.
Bay Path RVT will take on Blackstone Valley RVT at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Blackstone Valley RVT's defense has only allowed 17.5 points per game this season, so Bay Path RVT's offense will have their work cut out for Bay Path RVT. Oxford does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
