Cypress Lake's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Bri Madore, who scored 13 points. Nessiah Wallace was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
St. Brendan got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Jaden Castro out in front who scored 21 points. That makes it eight consecutive games in which Castro has scored at least 25% of St. Brendan's points. Another player making a difference was Gianna Vindigni, who scored 13 points.
Cypress Lake's loss dropped their record down to 7-4. As for St. Brendan, they now have a winning record of 7-6.
Cypress Lake will head out on the road to face off against Marco Island Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Marco Island Academy is out to stop a three-game streak of losses at home. St. Brendan and Monsignor Pace will face off at 7:30 p.m. on January 9th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Monsignor Pace has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games.
