Farmington is 0-3 against Kewanee since March of 2018 but things could change on Wednesday. The Farmers will welcome the Boilermakers at 4:30 p.m. Farmington is coming into the match hot, having won their last four games.
Farmington is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. Everything went their way against Bushnell-Prairie City on Saturday as they made off with a 22-6 victory. The result was nothing new for the Farmers, who have now won 15 games by six runs or more so far this season.

Lane Wheelwright was incredible, going 4-for-5 with eight RBI, three runs, and one triple. Those eight RBI gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Henry Easley, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs and two RBI.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Farmington kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least ten hits in four consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Kewanee didn't have quite enough to beat Hall on Tuesday and fell 5-4. The loss continues a trend for the Boilermakers in their meetings with the Red Devils: they've now lost eight in a row.
Colson Welgat was huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing two innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off two hits. What's more, he gave up only zero walks, the fewest he's had since back in May of 2024. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double.
Welgat wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Ben Taylor, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs. Ace LaFollette was another, getting on base in two of his three plate appearances with two runs.
Farmington's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 22-6. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 16.7 runs over those games. As for Kewanee, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-17.
