Westfield lost to Humble back in November of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Saturday. The Mustangs had just enough and edged out the Wildcats 48-45. The win was all the more spectacular given the Mustangs' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 518th, while the Wildcats are ranked 197th).

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Westfield to victory, but perhaps none more so than Tray Carmouche, who posted 14 points. Another player making a difference was Caden Lindsay, who had 12 points.

Westfield's record now sits at 4-9. As for Humble, with the loss, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 7-4.

Westfield wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 50-43 victory against Fort Bend Clements on the 15th. As for Humble, they have also already played their next contest, an 87-17 win against Aldine on the 15th.
