Bladensburg and Northwestern are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2018, but not for long. The Bladensburg Mustangs will look to defend their home court on Thursday against the Northwestern Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. Bladensburg has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
Bladensburg pushed their score all the way to 57 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 58-57 to Parkdale. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Monday (56), Bladensburg still had to take the loss.
Meanwhile, Northwestern's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their tenth straight defeat. They were beaten by DuVal 95-26. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Northwestern has scored all season.
Bladensburg has been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-12 record this season. As for Northwestern, they dropped their record down to 3-11 with that defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road.
Bladensburg strolled past Northwestern in their previous matchup back in January by a score of 78-63. Will Bladensburg repeat their success, or does Northwestern have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
