Apex came tearing into Wednesday's contest with seven straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 12.7 points), and they left with even more momentum. They took down the Green Level Gators 20-6. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 20-0 last Monday.

The critical scores for Apex came from Sarah Fagerstrom, June Smothers, and Lucy Nelson.

One reason for the win was Apex's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for three sacks. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Kora Frank, Crystal Wright, and Kyndall Jones, who each picked up one sack apiece.

Apex's win bumped their record up to 11-2. As for Green Level, their loss dropped their record down to 0-12.

Apex wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 26-0 victory against Knightdale on the 27th. As for Green Level, they have also already played their next game, a 1-0 win against Varsity Opponent on the 22nd.
