The Cactus Cobras will take on the Greenway Demons at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
Cactus easily dispatched Moon Valley on Monday, but unfortunately both the margin and the ultimate result were a different story in this one. Cactus fell just short of Mohave by a score of 3-1 on Tuesday. Having soared to a lofty 19 runs in the game before, the Cobras couldn't push the score so high this time.

Ciara Anthony put in work no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out nine batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits (and not a single walk). Furthermore, she didn't allow a single walk, the first time she has blanked an opponent since back in April of 2024. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last five games she's played dating back to last season.
Anthony wasn't the only one making solid contact as three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Rhyan Enos, who went 3-for-4 with one RBI.
Meanwhile, Greenway had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Wednesday. They put the hurt on the Panthers with a sharp 22-1 victory. That 21 run margin sets a new team best for the Demons this season.
Like Cactus, Greenway also got a great game from a two-way player: Jordyn Schad. She struck out six batters over four innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. That's the most strikeouts Schad has posted since back in April of 2024. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one home run, six RBI, and one double. That home run was her first of the season.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on TAYLOR BORUP, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, six RBI, and three runs. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Madison Bailey, who scored four runs while going 4-for-4.
Greenway kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 18 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least 11 hits in three consecutive contests.
Greenway's win was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-2-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for Cactus, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-4.
Cactus suffered a grim 16-4 defeat to Greenway when the teams last played back in March of 2024. Can Cactus avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
