It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Sebastian River Sharks had no problem doing just that on Thursday. In a tight game that could have gone either way, they made off with a 15-14 victory over Paxon School For Advanced Studies. The score was all tied up 8-8 at the break, but Sebastian River was the better team in the second half.
Sebastian River can attribute much of their success to BUDDHA JAMES, who rushed for 139 yards and a touchdown while picking up 8.2 yards per carry.
Paxon School For Advanced Studies' defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performance. Perhaps the best among them was Kenyon ?the jet? gardner, who picked up 83 receiving yards and a touchdown. ?the jet? gardner's longest reception was for an incredible 77 yards.
The win makes it two in a row for Sebastian River and bumps their season record up to 6-4. As for Paxon School For Advanced Studies, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-6 record this season.
