They walked away with a 70-57 win over Avon Lake. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Elyria was led to victory by Jayden Crutcher and Taylor Blanton. Crutcher scored 22 points, while Blanton scored 18 points along with two steals. Crutcher has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last seven times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Brian Todd, who scored six points along with ten rebounds.
Elyria is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season. As for Avon Lake, their loss dropped their record down to 9-8.
