It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Byrd ultimately got the result it was hoping for on Friday. They blew past Cave Spring 42-14. That result is just more of the same for Byrd, who also won the last time these teams played. This was the first game for both teams, giving Byrd a 1-0 record and starting Cave Spring off at 0-1.
Next week, Byrd take on Hidden Valley at Bogle Field (Cave Spring MS) at 7:00 PM. Keep an eye on the score for this one : both teams put up some lofty point totals in their previous games, so things might heat up even more when they meet up. As for Cave Spring, they will face of against Staunton River.
