The Chopticon Braves''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight loss. They lost to Leonardtown at home by a decisive 28-14 margin. Chopticon was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Leonardtown apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2022.
Leonardtown's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Zach Meade, who rushed for 189 yards while picking up 9.9 yards per carry. Meade really tore up the turf during one magnificent 78-yard run. The team also got some help courtesy of Isaac Sirvon eubanks, who rushed for 132 yards on only 12 carries.
Chopticon has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-9 record this season. As for Leonardtown, their win bumped their record up to 4-5.
Chopticon does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Leonardtown will head out on the road to face off against Reservoir at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
