Ichabod Crane is 0-5 against Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk since September of 2014 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Ichabod Crane Riders will be playing at home against the Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk Indians at 7:00 p.m. Ichabod Crane will be looking to keep their four-game home win streak (dating back to last season) alive.
Last Saturday, Ichabod Crane earned a 28-19 victory over Hudson Falls.
Among those leading the charge was Sam Antalek, who rushed for 114 yards and two touchdowns on only 13 carries. Zion Evans was another key contributor, rushing for 104 yards and two touchdowns.
Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk never got on the board in their last matchup, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against Lansingburgh last Friday. Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk claimed a resounding 45-14 win over Lansingburgh at home. The result was nothing new for Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk, who have now won four games by 31 points or more so far this season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk to victory, but perhaps none more so than Dominick Paljusaj, who rushed for 150 yards and three touchdowns on only 15 carries. Paljusaj is on a roll when it comes to rushing yards, as he's now rushed for 100 or more in the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Ethan Green, who rushed for 155 yards and a touchdown while picking up 9.1 yards per carry.
Their wins bumped Ichabod Crane to 4-2 and Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk to 7-0.
Friday's game might be decided on the ground as these two are both standouts in the run game. Ichabod Crane has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 197.2 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk struggles in that department as they've been even better at 264.7 per game. It's looking like Friday's match might have some serious battles in the trenches.
Ichabod Crane was taken down by Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk 38-0 when the teams last played back in October of 2019. Thankfully for Ichabod Crane, MATTICK ERIC (who rushed for 144 yards and two touchdowns on only 14 carries) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result? There's only one way to find out.
