Basketball Recap: Hanover Central Snags Third Victory in Last Four Games

Hanover Central won the last time they faced Washington Township, and Sienna Stilley did her part to make sure it happened again. The Hanover Central Wildcats came out on top against the Washington Township Senators by a score of 59-47 on Thursday thanks in part to Stilley, who went 9 for 13 en route to 22 points and five rebounds. Those 22 points gave her a new career-high.

When it comes to explaining why Washington Township lost, don't look at Gracie Little. Despite the final result, she went 7 of 10 on her way to 19 points along with five assists and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Brooklyn Campbell, who went 6 for 10 en route to 14 points.

Hanover Central has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.5 points per game. As for Washington Township, their loss dropped their record down to 10-8.

Hanover Central wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 43-36 victory against Griffith on the 18th. Washington Township has also already played their next contest, a 52-50 defeat against Westville on the 20th.
