The Fulshear Chargers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Foster Falcons at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Last Friday, Fulshear was fully in charge, breezing past the Cougars 57-16 on the road. Given Fulshear's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 147th, while the Cougars are ranked 903rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Sophia Semmler and Ruke Ogbevire were among the main playmakers for Fulshear as the former dropped a double-double on 16 points and 11 rebounds and the latter scored 20 points. Semmler is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last seven games she's played. Another player making a difference was Jada Morgan, who scored five points along with seven rebounds and three steals.
Meanwhile, Foster entered their tilt with the Rangers with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Foster blew past the Rangers, posting a 68-33 win at home.
Fulshear is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 23-7 record this season. As for Foster, their win bumped their record up to 20-13.
Fulshear won a contest that couldn't have been any closer when the teams last played back in January, slipping by the Falcons 43-42. Will Fulshear repeat their success, or do the Falcons have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
