Queensbury (N.Y.) put up 15 points in the fourth quarter in Saturday's game to seal their 36-7 victory over
Williamsville North (Williamsville, N.Y.).
After taking the lead on a touchdown run by
Christopher Goudy in the first quarter, the Spartans led 21-7 at the half.
The loss snapped Williamsville North's six-game winning streak.
Queensbury's most effective player was
Kody Bruno. The senior running back ran for one touchdown and caught one touchdown.
Williamsville North's lone touchdown came on an 8-yard pass from
Ryan Majewski to
Kolbe Hughes in the first quarter.
The Spartans came in surrendering 10.8 points per game this season. QHS went into the matchup giving up only 11.6 points per game.
The defeat comes as a step back for Williamsville North, which notched a 27-14 victory over Union-Endicott in its previous outing.
