The Denton Broncos fell victim to the Lake Dallas Falcons''s stalwart defense on Friday and couldn't make it onto the board. They were beaten by the Falcons 31-0. Denton has not had much luck with Lake Dallas recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Lawson Floyd threw for 67 yards on nine of 29 attempts. Keshawn Diego was his top target, picking up 33 receiving yards. On the ground, Jacobi Gladney rushed for 45 yards.
Lake Dallas got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Dylan Brauchle out in front who rushed for 119 yards and two touchdowns. The team also got some help courtesy of Cade Bortnem, who rushed for 16 yards and two touchdowns.
Denton's loss dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Lake Dallas, their victory was their fifth straight on the road , which pushed their record up to 9-1.
Denton will square off against Colleyville Heritage at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Colleyville Heritage will be looking to extend their current eight-game winning streak. As for Lake Dallas, they will take on Arlington Heights at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Arlington Heights is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
