Fieldston has enjoyed a three-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will square off against the Dalton Tigers at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Both teams come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
On Wednesday, Fieldston strolled past the Tigers with points to spare, taking the game 67-48.
Fieldston's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jade ling Eng-stewart, who scored 38 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Eng-stewart has scored all season. Sarah Weinick was another key contributor, scoring 20 points.
Meanwhile, Dalton put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They came out on top against North Rockland by a score of 68-55. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Fieldston is on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 13 games, which provided a nice bump to their 17-2 record this season. As for Dalton, their victory bumped their record up to 16-0.
Fieldston took a serious blow against the Tigers when the teams last played back in January, falling 72-36. Can Fieldston avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
