The North Andover Scarlet Knights will head out on the road to face off against the Andover Golden Warriors at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday. Given that the pair suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.
Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but unfortunately for North Andover, they weren't the ones who walked away with it. They fell 17-7 to the Red & Black on November 3rd. Having soared to a lofty 43 points in the game before, North Andover couldn't push the score so high this time.
Meanwhile, Andover unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak on Friday. They were dealt a 35-7 loss at the hands of St. John's Prep. Andover was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 28-0.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Chris Dessin, who picked up 105 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Their wins bumped North Andover to 5-4 and Winchester to 8-1.
North Andover was taken down by Andover 52-12 when the teams last played back in November of 2022. Thankfully for North Andover, Scotty Brown (who rushed for 123 yards and two touchdowns on only 12 carries, and also threw for 172 yards and three touchdowns) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result? There's only one way to find out.
