The Lapeer Lakers Homeschool Lakers are still undefeated this season after their contest against the Juniata Christian Eagles on Tuesday, but the Juniata Christian Eagles came as close as anyone has to beating them. Juniata Christian's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Drew Banks, who scored eight points along with 11 rebounds and three steals. That's the first time this season that Banks pulled down eight or more rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Nathan Wright, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds.
Even though they lost, Juniata Christian smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lapeer Lakers Homeschool will take on More Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. More Academy will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Michigan Rankings (they are ranked 664th, while Lapeer Lakers Homeschool is ranked 167th). As for Juniata Christian, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Faith Baptist at 7:15 p.m. Hopefully Faith Baptist focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 back in December of 2023.
