The Vidor Pirates's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They fell 52-45 to Bridge City. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Vidor in their matchups with the Cardinals: they've now lost three in a row.
Despite the loss, Vidor still got an impressive performance from Madison Powell, who scored 15 points along with three steals. Powell is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed three or more in the last six games she's played.
Vidor has not been sharp recently as the team's lost seven of their last nine games, which put a noticeable dent in their 18-10 record this season. As for Bridge City, their win bumped their record up to 22-12.
Vidor does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Bridge City will be playing at home against the Raiders at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
