The Hamilton Marines's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight loss. They took a serious blow against Prairie Heights, falling 50-13. Hamilton has not had much luck with Prairie Heights recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Prairie Heights to victory, but perhaps none more so than Emily McCrea, who scored 17 points along with seven rebounds and five steals. Ava Boots was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with six steals.
Hamilton bumped their record down to 3-9 with that defeat, which was their fifth straight at home. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 20.2 points per game. As for Prairie Heights, their win bumped their record up to 7-11.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hamilton will face off against Lakeland at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Prairie Heights, they will head out on the road to square off against East Noble at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
