Brashear gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Monday. They put the hurt on the Perry Traditional Academy Commodores with a sharp 14-1 win. The Bulls not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since March 25, 2024.
Max Reed was a major factor no matter where he played. He pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Reed was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing Two bases. while going 1-for-3.
In other pitching news, Kaden Jones looked comfortable as he struck out 11 batters over four innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit (and not a single walk).
Back at the plate, Brashear let True Crawford and Michael Caskey run wild. Crawford scored three runs and stole Two bases. while going 3-for-3, while Caskey went a perfect 2-for-2 with two triples, two runs, and one RBI. Dominic Sarokon was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.
Brashear always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .625. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Perry Traditional Academy only posted an OBP of .294.
Looking ahead, Brashear will challenge Sto-Rox at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Perry Traditional Academy, they will take on Carrick at 3:30 p.m. on March 26th.
