The Hillsboro Hiltoppers pushed their score all the way to 57 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell just short of Lincolnwood by a score of 60-57. Hillsboro lost against Lincolnwood in their previous head to head back in December of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 46-43 score last time.
Despite the loss, Hillsboro still got an impressive performance from Nathan Matoush, who scored 23 points along with 5 rebounds. Matoush scored a full 40.4% of Hillsboro's points, the second time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jace Stewart, who scored 15 points along with 3 steals.
Hillsboro's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Lincolnwood, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-4.
Hillsboro will look to defend their home court on Friday against Pana at 6:00 p.m. Pana and Hillsboro are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads. Lincolnwood will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against Litchfield at 8:00 p.m. on December 9th.
