The Loudoun County HomeSchool Patriots fought the good fight in their overtime game against the Northern Virginia HomeSchool Centurions on Saturday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They took a 48-42 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Centurions. While losing is never fun, Loudoun County HomeSchool can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 317th, while Northern Virginia HomeSchool is ranked 134th).
Northern Virginia HomeSchool got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Joshua/khase Anderson out in front who scored ten points. Another player making a difference was Javier Perez, who scored ten points.
Loudoun County HomeSchool's loss was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 4-13. As for Northern Virginia HomeSchool, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 16-5.
Loudoun County HomeSchool will square off against James River HomeSchool at 2:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully James River HomeSchool focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up seven last Tuesday. As for Northern Virginia HomeSchool, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Chelsea Academy at 6:00 p.m. on February 22nd.
