Valley View has won five straight games at home (dating back to last season), while North Pocono has won five straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Wednesday. Valley View will host North Pocono at 4:30 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Valley View's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Monday. They put the hurt on Old Forge with a sharp 10-0 victory. The win continues a trend for the Cougars in their matchups with the Blue Devils: they've now won four in a row.
Taylor Cawley made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 11 over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up a single earned run any time she's pitched this season. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one home run and four RBI.
In other batting news, Maggie Hallett was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Abbi Call, who scored a run while going 2-for-2.
Valley View was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .423. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Old Forge only posted a batting average of .000.
Meanwhile, North Pocono's hitters rose to the challenge against a Rangers pitching crew that boasted an average of only 2.33 runs allowed on Monday. North Pocono was the clear victor by a 10-0 margin over Northwest Area. That ten run margin sets a new team best for the Trojans this season.
North Pocono also got a great performance from Areilla Bell as she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out 13 over six innings pitched.
At the plate, Isabella Forgione was a standout: she went 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. That home run marked the first that she launched this season. Cameron Forgione was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one home run and two runs.

Wednesday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Valley View hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .381. However, it's not like North Pocono struggles in that department as they've averaged .400. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Valley View skirted past North Pocono 7-6 in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Does Valley View have another victory up their sleeve, or will North Pocono turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
