The home team had won the previous four meetings between Hazel Green and Sparkman, and Hazel Green kept the tradition alive. The Trojans were the clear victors by a 13-3 margin over the Senators on Thursday. The result was nothing new for the Trojans, who have now won 14 contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Hazel Green has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-11 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Sparkman, the loss snapped their winning streak at eight games and leaves them with a 31-10-1 record.

Coming up, Hazel Green will take on Thompson in a tournament on Friday. The Warriors will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something the Trojans surely won't give up without a fight. As for Sparkman, they will be taking part in a tournament against Brookwood at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Panthers' pitching crew has only allowed 2.5 runs per game this season, so the Senators' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
