The Kingman Bulldogs were the 37-26 winner over the Odyssey Institute Minotaur when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. Kingman ended up on the wrong side of a tough 31-11 walloping at the hands of Odyssey Institute on Thursday. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Kingman has scored all season.
Among those leading the charge was Shelby Hunt, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 11 rebounds. Those 11 rebounds set a new season-high mark for her. Gwendolyn Carricart was another key contributor, scoring four points along with ten rebounds.
This is the second loss in a row for Kingman and nudges their season record down to 3-5. As for Odyssey Institute, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-7.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Kingman will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against Kingman Academy at 5:30 p.m. on December 19th. Odyssey Institute will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Yuma Catholic at 5:30 p.m. on January 2, 2024.
