The Calaveras Red Hawks will be playing in front of their home fans against the Amador Buffaloes at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. The timing is sure in Calaveras' favor as the team sits on three straight wins at home while Amador has been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road.
Last Tuesday, Calaveras beat Summerville 48-39.
Calaveras found their leader in underclassman Ryan Clifton, who scored 16 points. Corbin Curran was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Amador suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Tuesday. They had to suffer through a rough 84-40 loss at the hands of Sonora. While losing is never fun, Amador can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 1116th, while Sonora is ranked 515th).
Calaveras' win bumped their record up to 11-12. As for Amador, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost eight of their last nine games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-17 record this season.
