Baseball Recap: Bishop Timon-St. Jude Takes a Loss

Wednesday just wasn't the day for Bishop Timon-St. Jude's offense. They fell just short of the St. Francis Red Raiders by a score of 2-0 on Wednesday. Having soared to a lofty 11 runs in the game before, the Tigers' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Ryder Kopacz spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on four hits and racked up six Ks. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Bishop Timon-St. Jude saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ian Wasielewski, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base. Wasielewski is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games he's played.

Bishop Timon-St. Jude now has a losing record of 8-9. As for St. Francis, their record is now 4-11-1.
