Tenor scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Wednesday. They breezed by University Lake at home to the tune of 88-40. That looming 88-40 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Tenor yet this season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Tenor to victory, but perhaps none more so than Marquell Robinson, who scored 31 points along with four steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Robinson has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Quintyn Robinson, who scored 26 points along with five rebounds and five steals.
Meanwhile, Augustine Prep earned a 81-74 victory over Faith Christian on January 4th. The win made it back-to-back wins for Augustine Prep.
Tenor pushed their record up to 9-4 with that victory, which was their fifth straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 79.4 points per game. As for Augustine Prep, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season.
Tenor beat Augustine Prep 77-68 when the teams last played back in November of 2023. The rematch might be a little tougher for Tenor since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
