The Linden-McKinley Panthers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. They fell just short of Northland by a score of 38-35. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Linden-McKinley of the 64-46 loss they experienced in the two teams' previous head-to-head fixture back in January.
Linden-McKinley's loss came despite strong showings from Christiana Towns and Tamiya Harrington. Towns dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds, while Harrington scored seven points along with four steals. Towns has been hot recently, having posted nine or more rebounds the last four times she's played.
Linden-McKinley has been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last nine contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-10 record this season. As for Northland, their victory bumped their record up to 12-8.
Linden-McKinley does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Northland is on the road again on Thursday and plays the Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on February 8th.
