Last Friday, Warren Central got themselves on the board against Perry Meridian, but Perry Meridian never followed suit. They blew past the Falcons, posting a 49-0 victory at home. The high flying offensive effort was a huge turnaround for Warren Central's three-point performance the match before.
Jaylan Mcmoore went supernova for Warren Central, rushing for 171 yards and three touchdowns on only seven carries. Mcmoore is on a roll when it comes to rushing yards, as he's now rushed for 100 or more in the last three games he's played. James Clark also deserves a shout-out for his two touchdowns.
Meanwhile, a well-balanced attack led Southport over Indianapolis Arsenal Technical in every quarter on their way to victory on Friday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Southport blew Indianapolis Arsenal Technical out of the water with a 41-12 final score. The contest was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point Southport had established a 27 point advantage.
Southport's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Tony Taylor, who rushed for 64 yards and three touchdowns. Riley Matlock was another key contributor, rushing for 90 yards and a touchdown.
Another reason for the win was Southport's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for six sacks. Indianapolis Arsenal Technical's QB won't forget Ramon Martinez anytime soon given Martinez sacked him six times.
Warren Central's win bumped their record up to 4-6. As for Southport, their win ended a nine-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-8.
