In what's become a running theme this season, the Whitharral Panthers gave their fans yet another huge victory on Friday. They took their contest on the road with ease, bagging a 80-31 win over Meadow. Winning may never get old, but Whitharral sure is getting used to it with their third in a row.
Whitharral's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Paige Smith, who scored 29 points along with three steals. Smith hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games. Another player making a difference was Madi Chavez, who scored 17 points along with six assists.
Whitharral pushed their record up to 23-4 with that win, which was their tenth straight on the road. They've been dominating during the matchups in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 36.7 points. As for Meadow, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 13-10.
Whitharral will be playing in front of their home fans against Morton at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Morton will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 1080th, while Whitharral is ranked 405th). As for Meadow, they will head out on the road to square off against Amherst at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
