The Mapleton Mounties are taking a road trip to take on the Dalton Bulldogs at 1:30 p.m. on Friday.
Mapleton fought the good fight in their extra-innings contest against New London on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Wildcats by a score of 7-6.

Skylar Fletcher made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing seven innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off eight hits. Fletcher was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-5 with four RBI. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high.
