There's no place like home for the Cary Christian Knights, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Friday. They had just enough and edged St. David out 39-37. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Cary Christian also won the last time the pair played two weeks ago.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Cary Christian to victory, but perhaps none more so than David Wisniewski jr., who scored six points along with ten rebounds and two steals. Elijah Holmes was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
St. David's lost on Monday despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Cooper Berkoff, who scored 14 points. Another player making a difference was Preston Copeland, who scored 11 points along with seven rebounds and three blocks.
Cary Christian's victory bumped their record up to 15-8. As for St. David's, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-18.
Cary Christian won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against GRACE Christian at 6:30 p.m. on February 6th. GRACE Christian has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 519 points over their last eight games. St. David's does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
