Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only the Eastbrook Panthers walked away with it. They blew past the Panthers 65-16 on the road on Tuesday. Eastbrook has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 16 games by 20 points or more this season.
Sophia Morrison continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 25 points along with six steals. Another player making a difference was Olivia Howell, who scored 11 points along with two steals.
Eastbrook is on a roll lately: they've won 15 of their last 16 games, which provided a nice bump to their 21-2 record this season. As for Elwood, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-20.
Eastbrook's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Argylls at 6:00 p.m. on February 2nd. Madison-Grant will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Indiana Rankings (they are ranked 314th, while the Panthers are ranked 52nd). Elwood does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
