San Jon/Grady's Jacob Benally rumbled for the longest rushing play in 6-Man District 1 (6 Man) this season in his game against Clovis Christian last week. Benally ran for 75 yards on the play and finished with 410 on the day as his team defeated the Eagles.
Dora extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Lake Arthur, 63-34. The victory was the sixth in a row for the Coyotes.
San Jon/Grady's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Coyotes feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Benally has thrown for 864 yards and 20 touchdowns this season, while Jay Foust has 19 catches for 262 yards. Benally also leads the league in rushing with 876 yards.
The marquee game in 6-Man District 1 (6 Man) this week will be the clash between the Panthers and San Jon/Grady. Lake Arthur comes into the matchup ranked third in the state, while the Coyotes ranks 11th.
